Fouad Alfarhan is a Saudi technology and social entrepreneur, and the founder of Rwaq, a technology startup focused on Arabic education solutions and initiatives.
Its first initiative, Rwaq.org, is an Arabic Massive Open Online Courseware (MOOC) platform that offers free high quality academic courses for the Arab world. Previously Fouad ran Smartinfo, an IT company that focused on web solutions for the Saudi and Gulf markets, and was acquired by Quality Horizons, a technology company based in Riyadh. Fouad has also work at Saudi Newspaper Al-Sharq. He holds a B.S. in Marketing from Eastern Washington University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Ball State University.
