Hesham Mansour is the creator of El 3elm Wel 2emaw
After completing his B.A. in computer science and his military service, Hesham Mansour worked in IT for three years, during which he began writing comedy on a friend's website. After January 25th, he decided to quit, and two weeks later he received a call from a friend who recommended him to Bassem Youssef. Hesham began working as a writer on Youssef's last internet episode, and then became Head Writer and Creative Director for Youssef’s first 104 television episodes. After co-writing America bel 3araby, Hesham left to pursue a career in advertising, working at JWT and Saatchi and Saatchi. When the owner of online television channel elGTV contacted him to write and host an online satirical show, he developed El 3elm Wel Emaw, a show inspired by doctor Mostafa Mahmoud, a well-known Egyptian philosopher. Less than 30 episodes later, Hesham has seen people of all classes and ages running into him in the street and telling him they watch the show.
