Kaswara Al-Khatib is the founder and CEO of UTURN, an online entertainment network.
Throughout his journey as an entrepreneur, Kaswara Al-Khatib has challenged the norm and always asked the question, “Why can’t it be done in Saudi?” This approach has led him to develop various media-related businesses. Kaswara began his career in the marketing and advertising division of Procter & Gamble in Saudi, yet, as a risk taker and a strong believer in the Saudi culture, youth and their creative abilities, he was inspired to start his own boutique agency, “FullStop”, in 2002. FullStop was named “Creative Agency of the Year” for three years running. In 2009, Kaswara launched “Made in Saudi Films”, a fully-fledged production and post-production house. In 2011, with a mission to bring creative, edgy, relevant & high-quality content to the Arab Audience, he founded UTURN, an online entertainment network that has grown to become the largest Arabic MCN (Multi Channel Network), with more than 600 million views and 20 million followers & subscribers. UTURN earned him the title of “New Media God Father” in Saudi. UTURN is now part of a pop culture. It is also seen as a key media player competing against satellite channels in KSA.
