Named by Communicate Magazine as one of the 20 “most powerful people in the media, marketing and advertising industry,” Ahmed was VP of the Maktoob Group and General Manager of Maktoob.com, the world’s leading Arabic-language Web portal and online community that was acquired by Yahoo! in 2009 for $164 million, the biggest Internet exit to date in the Middle East region.
